Membership in a union organization is individual.
A member of a union organization can be any legally capable individual, worker, or employee, working under an employment or service relationship in the respective structure in the sectors, branches, departments, organizations, companies, and enterprises, who is a member of a union organization, regularly pays their membership fee, accepts and complies with the Statute of the FTTU.
Anyone wishing to become a union member can contact union representatives or visit our website/office for more information, as well as at their workplace, through the chairperson of the organization at their place of work.
Anyone wishing to become a union member must fill out an official form that includes personal information, position, place of work, and other data necessary for registration.
The form is usually submitted to the union representative in the company.
By signing the application, the candidate expresses consent to comply with the Statute and regulations of the union, as well as to pay their monthly membership fees.
Members can participate in the governing structures of the trade union organization and federation, in meetings, initiatives, strikes, or other activities organized by the union.
The representative of the trade union organization or association submits a membership application addressed to the Federal Council of FTTU, and along with the application, a copy of the meeting minutes with the decision and a Declaration that the trade union organization or association accepts the Charter of the Federation is sent.
The primary members of the Federation are trade union organizations and their associations (unions, alliances, and trade union federations) of workers and employees working in the field of transportation (water, air, and land transport, as well as cargo handling and auxiliary activities in transport, logistics, etc.).
Membership in the Federation does not allow trade union organizations and associations that are members of other trade union formations.

1. Gather a group of interested workers – a minimum of 3 people.
2. Organize a founding meeting to discuss goals and rules.
3. Choose governing bodies (chairman, secretary, etc.).
4. Submit a letter/notification to the employer that a trade union organization has been established in the company.
5. Submit an application to us to become our member.
6. Start operating as a trade union organization, uniting your colleagues.
7. Negotiate with our help a Collective Labor Agreement including better wages, additional benefits, more paid vacation days, and others for you and your colleagues.
The establishment of a trade union organization in an enterprise is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, which protects the right of workers and employees to organize and participate in collective bargaining.
This right ensures the freedom of association and protects the rights of working people to assert their interests through unions.
The constitutional guarantees create a legal basis for the establishment, functioning, and participation in trade union organizations, thus promoting social dialogue and fair working conditions.
