Membership in a trade union organization is individual.

Any legally capable natural person, worker or employee, working under an employment or official relationship in the respective structure in the branches, divisions/sectors, departments, organizations, companies, and enterprises, who is a member of a trade union organization, regularly pays their membership fee, accepts and complies with the Statute of the FTTU, can be a member of a trade union organization.

The representative of the trade union organization or association submits a membership application addressed to the Federal Council of FTTU, and along with the application, a copy of the meeting minutes with the decision and a Declaration that the trade union organization or association accepts the Charter of the Federation is sent.

Primary members of the Federation are trade union organizations and their associations (trade unions, alliances, and trade union associations) of workers and employees working in the transport sector (water, air, and land transport, as well as cargo warehousing and auxiliary activities in transport, logistics, etc.).

Membership in the Federation is not permitted for trade union organizations and associations that are members of other trade union formations.

Anyone wishing to organize a trade union structure can contact us or visit our website/office for more information, or:

1. Gather a group of interested workers – minimum of 3 people.

2. Organize a founding meeting to discuss goals and rules.

3. Elect governing bodies (chairperson, secretary, etc.).

4. Submit a letter/notification to the employer that a trade union organization has been established in the company.

5. Submit an application to us to become our member.

6. Start activities as a trade union organization, uniting your colleagues.

7. Negotiate with our assistance a Collective Bargaining Agreement including better wages, additional social benefits, more days of paid annual leave, and others for you and your colleagues.
