Your trade union rights

The right to join a trade union is your fundamental human right. This right is an integral part of the legal order of both the Republic of Bulgaria and the international community. The Federation of Transport Trade Unions (FTTU) is here to support you in exercising this right and to protect your interests.

In Bulgaria, trade union rights are guaranteed by:

This legal framework gives you the freedom and the right to join a trade union of your choice without any restrictions or external consent. Any attempts to restrict trade union rights are subject to penalties under the law.

Union rights as a member of FTTU

As a member of the Federation of Transport Trade Unions, you receive representation and protection of the following rights:

Safe and healthy working conditions: Protection of your life, health, and capacity to work.
Right to fair remuneration: A decent wage that supports a normal standard of living.

Respect for dignity at the workplace: Without discrimination or exploitation.
Right to information: Involvement in decisions that affect your interests.
Protection of your rights in case of employer's insolvency: Guarantee that your rights will not be violated.
