FTTU organized a training in Varna city on "Organizing and Conducting Strike Actions" and "Collective Bargaining"

On 07.11.2025 in Varna, a training session on "Organizing and Conducting Strike Actions" and "Collective Bargaining" was held, organized by the Federation of Transport and Trade Unions (FTTU).
The training was attended by over 20 representatives of "Urban Transport – Varna", Port of Varna - East and Varna - West, Varna Airport, the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration", as well as "Burgasbus".
The lecturers of the training were Todor Kapitanov - Vice President of CITUB, and Nikolay Stoyanov - lawyer of FTTU. The event was also attended by the chairman of FTTU - Eng. Alexander Shopov.
The training began with an interactive part, in which Todor Kapitanov divided the participants into groups. They played out practical situations related to organizing protest actions and complying with legal procedures during their implementation.
Nikolay Stoyanov acquainted the participants in detail with the procedures related to collective bargaining agreements, including the main stages of the negotiation process, the role of the parties, and the necessary documentation. He also presented the practical aspects of applying the summed calculation of working hours, explaining the regulatory requirements, ways of planning shifts, and accounting for overtime work.
The event was marked by active interest and lively discussions, with participants sharing experiences and discussing best practices for effective collective bargaining and protection of workers' rights in the transport sector.
