FTTU organized a training in Varna city on "Organizing and Conducting Strike Actions" and "Collective Bargaining"

On November 7, 2025, in the city of Varna, a training session was held on the topic of "Organization and Execution of Strike Actions" and "Collective Bargaining", organized by the Federation of Transport Trade Unions (FTTU).
Over 20 representatives took part in the training from "Urban Transport – Varna", Port of Varna – East and Varna – West, Varna Airport, Executive Agency "Road Administration", as well as "Burgasbus".
Lecturers at the training were Todor Kapitanov – Vice President of CITUB, and Nikolay Stoyanov – lawyer of the FTTU. The event was also attended by the President of the FTTU - Eng. Aleksandar Shopov.
The training began with an interactive part, in which Todor Kapitanov divided the participants into groups. They role-played practical situations related to the organization of protest actions and compliance with legal procedures during their execution.
Nikolay Stoyanov detailed the procedures related to collective bargaining agreements, including the main stages of the negotiation process, the role of the parties, and the necessary documentation. He also presented the practical aspects of implementing the calculated sum of working hours, clarifying the regulatory requirements, methods for shift planning, and accounting for overtime work.
The event was met with active interest and lively discussions, with participants sharing experiences and discussing good practices for effective collective bargaining and protecting the rights of workers in the transport sector.
