Today, in the building of CITUB, a ceremony took place for awarding the annual prizes named after Prof. Dr. Krastyo Petkov — "For overall contribution to the development of the trade union movement in Bulgaria".
The Federation of Transport and Trade Unions selected two worthy representatives to whom the president of CITUB, Plamen Dimitrov, personally presented the awards:
Emilia Ivanova — Chairperson of the "Electrotransport" Union at "Capital Electrotransport" EAD. Maria Georgieva — Chairperson of SO AP Malashevtsi at "Capital Public Transport" EAD.
"I am very excited! We are a new federation, just a year and a half old, and I have been a trade unionist for 40 years. They noticed my qualities here, and I want to thank the chairman of the FTTU, Mr. Shopov, and Plamen Dimitrov, that the power of CITUB is behind us!" — shared Emilia Ivanova.
"Thanks to the FTTU, that after 41 years of work as a trade unionist, they recognized our efforts. I am excited because for the first time our work and everything we do are truly appreciated." — stated Maria Georgieva.
The Federation of Transport and Trade Unions expresses its deep gratitude to all who support the development of the trade union movement and work for a better future for workers in Bulgaria.
"An award — although delayed, is fully deserved for two ladies who are a pillar of the trade union movement in urban transport!" – stated the chairman of the FTTU, Eng. Alexander Shopov.
