The Union FTTU-CITUB "Operation" at "Metropolitan" EAD elected a new chairman

On May 9 in the town of Sapareva Banya, a reporting and electoral meeting of the trade union organization of FTTU-CITUB “Exploitation” at “Metropolitan” EAD was held.

After proposals were made and a vote was held, engineer Svetoslav Iliev was unanimously elected as the chairman of the organization, taking over the position from the former chairman engineer Alexander Shopov.

Engineer Shopov thanked the Union Council and the delegates for the trust placed in him when he was elected as chairman of the SO in 2020. He also reported on the good work of the former UC and especially of the vice-chairman engineer Miroslav Chakarov, the chairman of the FCC, engineer Galina Ivanova, engineer Valentin Danov, and engineer Vlado Manov, members of the UC.

Federation of Transport and Trade Unions (FTTU-CITUB) wishes the newly elected chairman and the leadership to successfully and consistently defend the rights and interests of the workers at "Metropolitan" EAD, with commitment, dialogue, and perseverance.
