On May 9, in the town of Sapareva Banya, an accountability and election meeting was held for the FTTU-CITUB trade union organization "Exploitation" at "Metropoliten" EAD.

Following nominations and a vote, Eng. Svetoslav Iliev was unanimously elected as the chairman of the organization, taking over the position from the current chairman, Eng. Aleksandar Shopov.

Eng. Shopov thanked the Union Council and the delegates for the trust placed in him upon his election as chairman of the union organization in 2020. He also reported on the good work of the outgoing Union Council, and in particular of the deputy chairman Eng. Miroslav Chakarov, the chairman of the Financial Control Commission, Eng. Galina Ivanova, and Eng. Valentin Danov and Eng. Vlado Manov, members of the Union Council.

Federation of Transport Trade Unions (FTTU-CITUB) wishes the newly elected chairman and the leadership success and consistency in defending the rights and interests of the employees in "Metropoliten" EAD, with commitment, dialogue, and perseverance.
