Protest of workers in urban transport in Sofia

May 14, 2025

For over 14 hours, the protest actions of the workers in city transport in Sofia continue, with the ground transport completely stopped.

For over 14 hours, their demands for wage increases were not heard by the Ministry of Finance and Sofia Municipality.

The patience of the workers in the CT ran out, and FTTU continues to appeal for the organization of an urgent meeting with the relevant institutions.

Through the media, the mayor of Sofia made a proposal, but the protesters categorically reject it.

A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, where everything from today will be discussed.

The blockades of the depots and garages remain!

FTTU firmly stands behind the rightful demands of the city transport workers and cannot agree with divisions among some workers at the expense of others.
