Negotiations for a new Collective Labor Agreement in "Metropoliten" EAD continue!

Today, the second working meeting was held between the management of "Metropolitan" EAD and the representatives of the Federation of Transport Trade Unions – the chairman of the FTTU, Eng. Aleksandar Shopov, and the chairman of the trade union organization, Svetoslav Iliev.

During the meeting, the parties continued the detailed review of the texts in the draft of the new Collective Labor Agreement. Progress and alignment of positions were achieved on a significant part of the provisions, though differences remain on some texts, which will be the subject of subsequent negotiations.

The management of "Metropolitan" EAD committed to conducting an additional analysis of the financial state of the company, after which they will propose for discussion the possible parameters and the method of implementing the FTTU's proposals, as well as their financial impact. This will allow discussions on the financial parameters of the new CLA to be conducted on the basis of current calculations and the actual capabilities of the company.

The next meeting between the parties is scheduled for July 24, when negotiations will continue on the remaining texts and annexes to the draft of the Collective Labor Agreement. Annex No. 3, containing the FTTU's proposals for improving the bonus system in the company, including the addition of positions that were not included in the previous Collective Labor Agreement, will also be discussed then, as well as Annex No. 4, for which the employer should present their proposals regarding the positions in "Metropolitan" EAD working with video displays.

The proposals on the bonus system are among the most important and sensitive topics for the company's employees. That is precisely why the FTTU will insist on fair, transparent, and objective criteria to guarantee equality, take into account the specifics of different positions, and eliminate the omissions made during the previous negotiations.

FTTU – CITUB will continue to participate constructively and responsibly in the negotiations, defending the interests of the workers and insisting on an agreement that not only preserves the achieved rights but also builds upon them with better working conditions, adequate social benefits, and decent pay for all employees of "Metropolitan" EAD.
