The Chairman of FTTU met with the management and staff of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" – Silistra

On July 15, the Chairman of the FTTU, Eng. Aleksandar Shopov, visited the regional department of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" - Silistra, where together with the Chairman, Veselin Ivanov, they got acquainted with the working conditions and toured the employees' workplaces.
During the visit, a working meeting was held with Dr. Eng. Evgeni Avramov – Head of the Regional Department "Automobile Administration" – Silistra. During the conversation, a number of important issues related to the activities of the agency and the socio-labor rights of the employees were discussed.
Among the main topics were the concluded agreement for public officials in the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration", working conditions, and the application of the Civil Servant Act. Current issues in the agency were also discussed, including the provision of food vouchers and the supply of mineral water, to which employees are entitled for each working day.
Special attention was paid to the specifics of road control activities. Inspectors of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" perform daily checks on heavy goods vehicles, buses, and transport operators, often in a dynamic and risky environment, exposed to unfavorable weather conditions, heavy traffic, and tense situations during the performance of their duties. Indeed, their work is among the key factors in preventing serious road traffic accidents involving trucks and buses, through control over the technical roadworthiness of vehicles, compliance with driving and rest times, overloading, and the legality of public transport. Therefore, ensuring decent working conditions, the necessary equipment, and adequate protection for inspectors is not only a matter of employees' rights but also of the safety of all road users.
During the meeting, issues related to the current political situation in the country and its impact on the work of the state administration were also touched upon.
The FTTU and the EAAA expressed their readiness to continue the good dialogue and cooperation in the interest of the employees, to improve working conditions, and to strengthen control activities, which make a significant contribution to road safety and the preservation of human life.
