FTTU position regarding the replacement of the Executive Director of "Metropoliten" EAD

In connection with the distributed information about a possible replacement of Prof. Dr. Eng. Stoyan Bratoev from the position of Executive Director of "Metropolitan" EAD, Federation of Transport Trade Unions expresses its categorical support for his remaining in this position.

Prof. Bratoev is a leading figure in the development of the Sofia metro and has a significant contribution to the modernization of public transport in Bulgaria, as under his leadership Line 1, Line 2, and Line 3 of the Sofia metro were built and put into operation.

FTTU recalls that since 1999 CITUB has maintained a long-standing and fruitful cooperation with Prof. Bratoev and his team. During this period, stable foundations of social partnership were built, which yielded real results – a number of collective labor agreements were signed, providing improvements and constant upgrading in the working and social conditions of the workers in the company.

We are convinced that the continuation of this sustainable cooperation and social dialogue is in the interest of both the employees and the development and efficiency of public transport in the capital.

This is precisely why we consider it essential that Prof. Bratoev continues to perform his leadership role, as his professionalism, experience, and responsibility are a proven factor for the stability and progress of "Metropolitan" EAD.
