Visit to FTTU at Plovdiv Airport with a focus on working conditions and trade union dialogue

On 14.05.2026, the chairman of FTTU, Eng. Aleksandar Shopov, visited Plovdiv Airport, where together with the chairman of SO Miroslav Baev they held a meeting with some of the union members in the company.

During the meeting, key topics were discussed, related to the Collective Labour Agreement, the need for the timely provision of work clothing, shoes and glasses.

Special attention was paid to the activities of the Fund „Working Conditions“ and the survey questionnaires that workers fill out in connection with the preparation of an in-depth analysis of sickness rates and working conditions in the sector „Transport“.

During the visit, the workstations and rest rooms were also toured, where specific issues related to safety, work organization and the daily challenges faced by employees were discussed on site.

Although small, the union organization at Plovdiv Airport has serious spirit, activity and potential for development – despite the difficulties faced daily by workers in the sector. It is precisely through solidarity, perseverance and mutual support that a strong union community is built.
