Regular meetings with the employees of Sofia's public transport

Apr 2, 2025

Today the final meetings concluded, which the chairman of FTTU - engineer Alexander Shopov held with the workers of "Metropolitan Transport" EAD, "Capital Electric Transport" EAD and "Metropolitan" EAD.

The employees in the capital's public transport expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the proposed salary increase, which they consider insufficient and unfair. They insist on a permanent increase in base salaries, not by increasing the bonus.

If the necessary funds are not provided by the state and municipality, they are ready to undertake protest and strike actions to achieve a worthy increase.

There is readiness to join protest actions also in Varna and Ruse, where no funds have been allocated for salary increases by the state.

A meeting with the CO is expected, at which the results of the meetings held with the workers in public transport will be discussed.
