Happy May 6th - Day of Courage and the Bulgarian Army!

Today Bulgaria celebrates the Day of Courage and the holiday of the Bulgarian Army. This is one of the oldest and most significant dates in our national calendar. The holiday was established in 1880 by a decree of Prince Alexander I and is associated with Saint George the Victorious - the patron of the army and a symbol of courage, bravery, and faith.

The Federation of Transport and Trade Unions pays due recognition and tribute to the Bulgarian warriors who have defended with their honor and lives the freedom of Bulgaria and its right to be an independent state.

FTTU congratulates everyone who bears the name of Saint George and celebrates their name day today, wishing them health, luck, personal and professional success! Carry your names with pride and dignity.
