On May 14th at 4:00 AM, transportation workers will block the depots and garages of the public transport in Sofia.

On May 14, 2025 (Wednesday) at 4:00 AM, a national protest under the slogan 'Decent Work – Decent Pay! No Transport, No Economy!' will take place at the entrances of the garages and depots of the Sofia Urban Transport in the city of Sofia.

This union act is a sign of dissatisfaction with the continued inaction of the responsible institutions and will block the departure of vehicles on all bus, trolleybus, and tram lines of the urban transport.

FTTU continues to demand the urgent allocation of an additional financial resource amounting to 40.7 million BGN, including:

29 million BGN for Sofia Urban Transport

6.5 million BGN for Urban Transport – Varna

0.7 million BGN for Urban Transport – Ruse

4.5 million BGN for the Executive Agency 'Automobile Administration'

The national protest will be held at the following locations:

1. Blvd. 'Nikola Mushanov' 149, just before the entrance to the 'Krasna Polyana' Tram Depot.

2. Blvd. 'Tsar Boris III' 126A, just before the entrance to the 'Tramcar' Division.

3. St. 'Podpolkovnik Kalitin' 30, just before the entrance to the 'Banishora' Tram Depot.

4. Scientific-Industrial Zone Iskar, St. '5003' No.5, just before the entrance to the 'Iskar' Tram Depot.

5. St. 'Podpolkovnik Kalitin' No.28, just before the entrance to the 'Nadezhda' Trolleybus Garage.

6. St. Amsterdam No.7, just before the entrance to the 'Iskar' Trolleybus Garage.

7. St. 'Bessarabia' No.26, just before the entrance to the 'Levsky' Trolleybus Garage.

8. St. Zhitnitsa, just before the entrance to the 'Zemlyane' Bus Garage.

9. St. 'Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov', just before the entrance to the 'Druzhba' Bus Garage.

10. St. 'Rezbarska', No.11 1225 Sofia, just before the entrance to the 'Malashevtsi' Bus Garage.

11. St. 'Jacques Duclos', No.57 1225 Sofia, just before the entrance to the 'Malashevtsi' Bus Garage.

The protest rally will block traffic on the roadway at the specified locations as a sign of dissatisfaction with the continued inaction of the responsible institutions.

FTTU demands an immediate meeting between the nationally represented union organizations and the responsible institutions in the face of the Ministry of Finance, the Council of Ministers, and the Sofia Municipality to find a sustainable solution in favor of the people who ensure daily mobility in the state.
