On May 14, 2025 (Wednesday) at 4:00 AM, in front of the entrances of the garages and depots of the Sofia Public Transport in the city of Sofia, a national protest will be held under the slogan "Decent work – decent pay! Without transport, there is no economy!".

This trade union act is a sign of dissatisfaction with the ongoing inaction of the responsible institutions and will block the departure of vehicles on all bus, trolleybus, and tram lines of public transport.

FTTU continues to demand the urgent allocation of additional financial resources in the amount of BGN 40.7 million, including:

BGN 29 million for Sofia Public Transport

BGN 6.5 million for public transport – Varna

BGN 0.7 million for public transport – Ruse

BGN 4.5 million for the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration"

The national protest will take place at the following locations:

1. 149 "Nikola Mushanov" Blvd., immediately before the entrance to "Krasna Polyana" Tram Depot.

2. 126A "Tsar Boris III" Blvd., immediately before the entrance to "Tramcar" Division.

3. 30 "Podpolkovnik Kalitin" St., immediately before the entrance to "Banishora" Tram Depot.

4. Iskar Scientific and Production Zone, "5003" St. No. 5, immediately before the entrance to "Iskar" Tram Depot.

5. No. 28 "Podpolkovnik Kalitin" St., immediately before the entrance to "Nadezhda" Trolleybus Garage.

6. 7 Amsterdam St., immediately before the entrance to "Iskar" Trolleybus Garage.

7. No. 26 "Besarabia" St., immediately before the entrance to "Levski" Trolleybus Garage.

8. Zhitnitsa St., immediately before the entrance to "Zemlyane" Bus Garage.

9. "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov" St., immediately before the entrance to "Druzhba" Bus Garage.

10. "Rezbarska" St., No. 11 1225 Sofia, immediately before the entrance to "Malashevtsi" Bus Garage.

11. "Jacques Duclos" St., No. 57 1225 Sofia, immediately before the entrance to "Malashevtsi" Bus Garage.

The protest rally will block traffic on the roadway at the specified locations as a sign of dissatisfaction with the ongoing inaction of the responsible institutions.

FTTU insists on an immediate meeting between the nationally represented trade union organizations and the responsible institutions, namely the Ministry of Finance, the Council of Ministers, and the Sofia Municipality, to find a sustainable solution in favor of the people who ensure the daily mobility in the country.
