The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) officially presented the first trade union artificial intelligence in Europe – an AI assistant created specifically to support trade union members and their daily work.

The new digital tool combines expert assistance in labor rights, income, collective bargaining, occupational safety, and trade union organization into a single system. The AI assistant is designed to provide quick, practical, and accessible guidance on real cases and questions from trade union practice – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Among the main capabilities of CITUB's AI are:

• consultations on labor rights and remuneration;

• information on occupational safety conditions;

• preparation of positions, arguments, and working texts;

• assistance in collective bargaining;

• drafting of templates, statements, and trade union documents;

• referral to expert trade union support.

The system combines the expertise of a lawyer, an economist, an occupational health and safety specialist, a collective bargaining expert, and an organizational secretary into a single, common AI tool. This allows trade union members to receive not just information, but practical guidance and concrete solutions in support of their daily work and the protection of labor rights.

The AI assistant is accessible via both computer and mobile devices, providing quick and convenient access at any time and from any place.

Federation of Transport Trade Unions (FTTU) will also provide its members with the opportunity to use the new AI assistant. A special button with direct access to the platform will be added to the FTTU website, enabling union members to easily and conveniently use all functions of the system.

For workers in the transport sector, this will be another useful tool in their daily trade union activities – when preparing documents, statements, and positions, addressing questions related to working hours, salaries, working conditions, and collective bargaining, as well as communicating with employers and institutions.

Through the AI assistant, members of FTTU will have the opportunity to receive faster guidance and information related to the protection of their rights and interests, as part of the large family of CITUB.
