FTTU started negotiations for a new collective labor agreement in "Urban Transport" – Varna

Today, the first meeting of the negotiations for signing a new Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) took place at "Urban Transport" PLC - Varna.
Participants in the meeting included the chairman of the Federation of Transport and Trade Unions (FTTU) under the CITUB, engineer Alexander Shopov, and the chairman of the trade union organization in the company, Pavlina Nikolova. During the discussions, the importance of social dialogue and the need to achieve balanced solutions that ensure stability and better working conditions for employees was emphasized.
The main demands of the FTTU were presented and thoroughly discussed, with emphasis on:
increasing basic wages
increasing food allowances
introducing a "presence bonus" as an incentive for regularity and engagement
increasing night work rates
increasing overtime pay
expanding social support for employees and their families
updating additional payments and social benefits
During the meeting, opinions and proposals were exchanged, and both parties expressed readiness for constructive dialogue and the search for sustainable solutions in the interest of employees. The importance of building upon the existing collective labour agreement in view of current economic conditions and the needs of employees was also emphasized.
The negotiation process will continue, with the next meeting scheduled for 02.04.2026. It is expected that in the next discussions, the parameters of the individual proposals will be specified, and mutually acceptable solutions will be sought.
The FTTU will continue to timely inform about the development of the negotiations and the actions taken in defense of the rights and interests of sector employees.
