FTTU with a new trade union organization in "Aviapartner Bulgaria" Ltd.

Today, the chairman of FTTU, Eng. Alexander Shopov, held a working meeting with the management of "Aviapartner Bulgaria" Ltd, represented by Director Vasil Dimitrov and Daniela Antova – Human Resources Manager. The meeting took place in the context of the establishment of a new trade union organization of FTTU in the company and was the first official meeting with the new employer – an important step towards building a sustainable partnership and establishing a union presence in the sector.
During the meeting, Eng. Shopov presented in detail the main activities, goals, and priorities of the Federation of Transport Trade Unions, emphasizing the role of the organization in protecting the labor and social rights of workers. He highlighted the importance of active and constructive social dialogue as a key tool for achieving balanced, sustainable, and effective labor relations based on mutual trust and respect.
During the conversation, opportunities for joint initiatives were explored, including application and funding under the "Working Conditions Fund". The upcoming activities of FTTU were also discussed, related to the preparation of analysis and project aimed at improving working conditions and preventing occupational diseases in the "Transport" sector. In this context, the need for a systematic approach and active employer participation in the processes of evaluating and improving the working environment was noted.
A special emphasis was placed on the upcoming expiration of the current Collective Labor Agreement. The parties discussed the possibilities for its renewal and enhancement, expressing readiness to start the negotiation process as early as next month. The importance of this process for ensuring stability, predictability, and protection of workers' interests was emphasized.
In the course of the meeting, Eng. Shopov also presented FTTU's initiatives aimed at social engagement and the cohesion of workers, including the federation's annual spartakiada. It was highlighted as a good example of fostering team spirit, a healthy lifestyle, and building stronger connections among employees in the sector.
On their part, representatives of "Aviapartner Bulgaria" Ltd presented in detail the activities of the company, emphasizing its international presence – at over 70–75 airports in Europe and Africa. They outlined the main lines of work, including ground handling, cargo services, and business aviation service, highlighting the dynamics and specifics of the sector, as well as the need for well-prepared and motivated staff.
In conclusion, the parties expressed a clear willingness to develop a constructive and sustainable social dialogue based on the principles of collegiality, transparency, and partnership. Their common goal is to achieve workable solutions that contribute to both the improvement of working conditions and protection of workers, and the development and competitiveness of the transport sector.
