Mar 7, 2025

Today in Sofia Municipality, a meeting was held with the Mayor of Sofia - Vasil Terziev, Deputy Mayor for Transport Ilian Pavlov, and the directors of the transport companies. The meeting was initiated by the President of CITUB - Plamen Dimitrov and the Chairman of FTTU - Eng. Alexander Shopov.
During the meeting, parameters of the new Cooperation Agreement were discussed. It is expected that next week the Municipality of Sofia will send their calculations for the necessary funds for the increase of basic salaries, as well as the opinions of the Companies.
FTTU reminds that 17 million more have been provided from the state budget for this year, which will facilitate the work of Sofia Municipality in ensuring adequate increases in basic salaries for transport workers of Sofia's public transport.
Let us also recall that the demands of CITUB and FTTU are for a horizontal salary increase of at least 10%, and where necessary, up to 15%.
This increase should be adequate and linked to the desire of our members, the differences between positions should not be further increased, with the aim being to raise basic salaries by a fixed amount.
