FTTU held a meeting with the mayor of Sofia and the directors of public transport companies

Today, a meeting was held at the Sofia Municipality with the Mayor of Sofia - Vasil Terziev, the Deputy Mayor for Transport Iliyan Pavlov, and the directors of the transport companies. The meeting was initiated by the President of the CITUB - Plamen Dimitrov, and the Chairman of the FTTU - Eng. Aleksandar Shopov.
During the meeting, the parameters of the new Cooperation Agreement were discussed. It is expected that next week the Sofia Municipality will send their calculations regarding the necessary funds for increasing the basic salaries, as well as the positions of the Companies.
FTTU recalls that 17 million more has been secured from the State Budget for this year, which will facilitate the work of the Sofia Municipality in ensuring adequate increases in the basic salaries for transport workers of the Sofia Public Transport.
Let us also recall that the demands of the CITUB and FTTU are for a horizontal salary increase of at least 10%, and where necessary up to 15%.
This increase must be adequate and aligned with the desire of our members that the gaps between positions do not widen further, with the goal being to increase basic salaries by a fixed amount.
