FTTU held a seminar for workers in the transport sector

Today, a seminar organized by FTTU titled "Legal Framework in Bulgarian Legislation, Social Protection, and Pension Security of Workers in the Transport Sector" was held. More than 50 trade union members of FTTU from "Metropolitan" EAD, "Stolichen Elektrotransport" EAD, "Stolichen Avtotransport" EAD, SOF Connect, and Dr. Sasse Facility Management EOOD took part in it.
The Chairman of FTTU, Eng. Aleksandar Shopov, opened the seminar with the words: "The topics we will discuss today are not only current but also key to our future – especially regarding the pension system and the legal framework in which we work. I urge each of you to actively participate – ask questions, share experiences, discuss. Let's turn this seminar into a dialogue that will help us navigate the challenges we face better and find solutions that will improve our daily lives."
The President of CITUB, Plamen Dimitrov, joined the official part. The President of CITUB congratulated the participants and commented: "Knowledge is our preparation for the basic understanding of labor rights, social security relations, methods of payment, principles of hiring employees, how they reach the workplace - what they need to know, what we need to know to protect and defend them right at the entrance of the enterprise. Knowledge makes us strong to support the people who have placed their trust in the trade union."
Lecturers of the seminar were Nikolay Stoyanov – lawyer of FTTU and Asya Goneva – Consultant to CITUB.
The panels examined the legal framework and the protection of labor rights, as well as social protection and pension security. The participants engaged in a lively discussion, within which they examined the main issues of the seminar program, expressed various opinions, and shared practical examples, which significantly contributed to its depth.
