Following a protest action by public transport workers in front of the Sofia Municipality building, the Sofia Municipal Council adopted the financial framework of the Sofia 2025 budget, which includes a retroactive salary increase of 300 BGN starting from April 1st.

FTTU points out that the funds for the increase were provided by the state but had been blocked until now due to the lack of a Sofia Budget.

Symbolically, the protesters handed piggy banks with yellow coins and protest declarations to the municipal councilors.

Victory for all transport workers! "You showed the politicians that the power is in your hands!", with these words FTTU President Aleksandar Shopov declared the end of the protest in front of the municipality.
