FTTU organized a training in Varna city on "Organizing and Conducting Strike Actions" and "Collective Bargaining"

On 07.11.2025 in Varna, a training on “Organizing and Conducting Strike Actions” and “Collective Bargaining” was held, organized by the Federation of Transport and Trade Unions (FTTU).
More than 20 representatives from “Urban Transport – Varna,” Varna Port – East and Varna – West, Varna Airport, the Executive Agency “Automobile Administration,” as well as “Burgasbus” participated in the training.
The lecturers of the training were Todor Kapitanov – Vice President of CITUB, and Nikolay Stoyanov – lawyer of FTTU. The event was also attended by the chairman of FTTU - engineer Alexander Shopov.
The training began with an interactive part, in which Todor Kapitanov divided the participants into groups. They acted out practical situations related to organizing protest actions and adhering to legal procedures during their conduction.
Nikolay Stoyanov acquainted the participants in detail with the procedures related to the collective labor agreement, including the main stages of the negotiation process, the role of the parties, and the necessary documentation. He also presented the practical aspects of implementing the summarized calculation of working time, explaining the regulatory requirements, ways of planning shifts, and accounting for overtime work.
The event proceeded with active interest and lively discussions, as participants shared experiences and discussed good practices for effective collective bargaining and protection of the rights of workers in the transport sector.
