FTTU attended the National Conference 'Safe and Healthy Working Conditions in the Digital Era'
Oct 30, 2025

On 30.10.2025 in Sofia, the National Conference "Safe and Healthy Working Conditions in the Digital Era" was held, organized on the occasion of the European Week for Safety and Health at Work.
The forum was attended by representatives of trade unions, employers' organizations, and academic circles, including Eng. Alexandar Shopov, Chairman of FTTU, and Plamen Dimitrov, President of CITUB.
In his speech, Plamen Dimitrov emphasized that the digital transformation must go hand in hand with the protection of rights, safety, and mental health of workers. He highlighted the need for adapting labor legislation and a stronger role of social dialogue in the processes of automation and digitalization. The speakers addressed key topics such as digital stress, the implementation of artificial intelligence systems, and regulatory safety guarantees.
Good practices from leading enterprises were also presented, as well as opportunities for project funding through the "Working Conditions" Fund.
For FTTU, the topic is extremely important - digitalization is already changing the transport sector and the professions within it. We will continue to advocate for policies that place safety, health, and the dignity of labor central to this change. The leading factor is the human, not artificial intelligence!
