FTTU visited IAAA in Varna city

On 25.03.2025 in Varna, the chairman of FTTU – Eng. Aleksandar Shopov and the vice president of CITUB – Todor Kapitanov, held a working meeting with the head of the regional department of the IAAA – Eng. Tihomir Gaberski, the president of the trade union organization – Viktoria Krŭsteva, as well as with members of FTTU.

The main topics of the meeting were the working conditions in the agency and the upcoming negotiations for a new Collective Labor Agreement (CLA), with the need for better social and economic guarantees for employees being discussed.

Eng. Aleksandar Shopov presented the activities of the Labor Conditions Fund to Mr. Gaberski and emphasized the opportunities for improving the working environment through financing various initiatives and projects.

The main focus of the meeting was also the need to increase salaries in the agency. In the state budget, CITUB and FTTU have requested additional 4.5 million leva – an amount that would allow an increase in the remuneration of employees at the IAAA.

The president of the trade union organization Viktoria Krŭsteva discussed with Todor Kapitanov and Eng. Aleksandar Shopov the possibility of organizing protest actions in support of the right to decent pay for IAAA employees, in connection with the lack of additional funds for salary increases from the state's side.
