FTTU signed an Agreement with the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration"

Today, a working meeting was held at the Road Transport Administration Executive Agency between the agency's management and representatives of the Federation of Transport Trade Unions.
Participating on behalf of the FTTU were its Chairman, Eng. Aleksandar Shopov, FTTU lawyer Nikolay Stoyanov, FTTU expert Mariana Shokova, and the Chairman of the trade union organisation at RTAEA, Veselin Ivanov. Representing the agency were the Executive Director Boyko Ranovski and his team.
The main topic of the meeting was the Agreement on issues concerning the employment and social security relations of civil servants at RTAEA. Following a discussion of the controversial texts and a constructive dialogue, the parties reached an agreement and signed the document.
The signing of this agreement is the result of a long period of consistent actions, perseverance, and efforts by the FTTU and the trade union organisation at RTAEA to establish real social dialogue and protect employees' rights.
The signed agreement guarantees:
participation of the union in discussing regulatory changes affecting employees;
protection of trade union representatives in the event of redundancies and termination of employment relations;
participation of trade union representatives in competition procedures, disciplinary proceedings, and evaluation processes;
prior consultations with the union when drafting internal rules on salaries;
agreed additional remuneration for night work, overtime, substitution work, and achieved results;
additional rights related to leave, safe working conditions, preventive medical examinations, and "Accident" insurance.
The signing of the agreement is an important step towards strengthening social dialogue, protecting the rights of civil servants, and improving working conditions at the Road Transport Administration Executive Agency.
However, this is not the end of our efforts. FTTU will continue the struggle to negotiate and sign a lawful Collective Agreement at the agency, which will guarantee an even higher level of protection for the labour, social, and economic rights of workers.
FTTU will continue to consistently defend the interests of employees and work for better working conditions, fair pay, and dignified treatment of people in the sector.
The term of the agreement is two years.
