On June 2, the Day of Botev and of those who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria, the Federation of Transport Trade Unions (FTTU) paid its respects at the monument of Hristo Botev in the town of Kalofer. This year marks 149 years since his death.

A wreath was laid at the monument by the Chairman of FTTU - Eng. Aleksandar Shopov, accompanied by trade union leaders and members of the federation, representatives of "Stolichan Electrotransport" EAD, "Stolichan Avtotransport" EAD, "Metropolitan" EAD and "Burgasbus" EOOD.

The presence of representatives from various transport companies highlights the solidarity and active role of the trade union community in preserving historical memory.

Participation in the celebration of Botev's Day shows that his spirit lives not only in the pages of history, but also in contemporary efforts for justice, freedom and national dignity.
